Hong Kong and Macau Diploma Awards Ceremony 2018

We were delighted to welcome nearly 100 diploma holders, with their families and friends, to our annual Diploma Awards Ceremony at the Diocesan Boys’ School, Hong Kong, on 6 April 2018.
ABRSM’s Executive Director of Global Operations, Tim Arnold, gave the keynote address and led the presentation of awards for the diploma holders. It was also wonderful to see so many ARSM Diploma holders at the event for the first time, being among the first cohort to take the assessments worldwide in 2017. The ceremony also included performances from our highest scoring diploma holders. Lam Pui Yin (DipABRSM Piano) began with Brahms’ Rhapsody in G minor, Op.79 No.2. This was followed by Schumann’s Adagio and Allegro in A flat Major, Op.70, performed by Lou Ut Kei, Venus (ARSM Cello). Ng Ka Yu (ARSM Violin) played Bruch’s famous Violin Concerto in G minor Op.26 No.1 and the programme concluded with a virtuosic display from Yip Hiu Tung (LRSM piano), who performed Liszt’s Rhapsodie Espagnole. Congratulations again to all the diploma holders on your successes and we wish you all the best as you continue your musical journeys. See more pictures from the ceremony on our Facebook page.
